Hat Care & Packaging Guide
To ensure your hat arrives safely, we use specialized packaging that may flatten the hat slightly during shipping. This is normal and does not affect the quality of the hat. Most styles can be easily reshaped using the methods below.
1. Felt Hats (Rabbit Felt / Wool Felt)
Felt hats have natural "memory" and can be reshaped easily.
- Gently adjust the brim and crown with your hands
- For deeper creases, use a steamer or hold over hot steam (2–3 cm away) to soften the fibers, then reshape
- Let it air dry naturally
Note: Do not soak felt hats in water.
2. Straw Hats (Natural Raffia / Toquilla)
Natural straw is flexible and may need light reshaping after shipping.
- Gently pull the brim outward to restore its natural curve
- For stubborn creases, use a hairdryer on low heat while shaping
- Place the hat on a hat stand or upside down to retain shape
Note: Avoid high heat, which can damage natural straw fibers.
3. Paper Straw Hats
Paper straw is lightweight and holds shape well with minimal care.
- Adjust the brim and crown gently with your hands
- For deeper creases, use a hairdryer on cool or low heat while reshaping
- Allow to air dry
Note: Avoid prolonged exposure to water or intense sunlight.
4. Polyester Straw Hats
Polyester straw is durable and easy to reshape.
- Simply adjust the brim and crown by hand
- For tougher creases, use a hairdryer on low heat
Note: Do not use high heat, as it may melt the fibers.
5. Storage Tips
- Store your hat in a cool, dry place
- Use a hat box or hat stand to maintain shape
- Avoid placing heavy items on top of your hat
